AMERICAN GIRL GETS MORE THAN A FACELIFT

The American Girl store in NYC, also known as doll heaven to most little girls & the leader in experiential retail to others, has finally unveiled its "Store of the Future" right in time for the holiday season! The retail concept puts a big emphasis on customization and the consumer experience. Trust me when I tell you, there is no other shopping experience for little girls like this one. If you have a chance to visit Rockefeller Center (NYC), the new store is a must-see!

Not only is American Girl taking the opportunity to go to a new NYC store location but design new customer experiences as well. The store boasts several new experiences, including a design studio where young girls can play doll designer, using an online feature that allows for personalization. Girls can also design their own American Girl doll, choosing from more than one million possible design combinations. They can also create one-of-a-kind doll outfits and doll-sized products, which can be printed and taken home the same day. There is also a salon where girls and their American Girl dolls can get matching hairstyles, mini manicures and even ear-piercing. 

Not to be done on the technology front, the store features touchscreen kiosks that will help you navigate the space, book salon appointments and cafe reservations, and sync up with a special American Girl app. In addition, the company’s award-winning movies and videos are showcased in an area called the “content hub.”

Even though this store features new products, girls today & millennial moms desire that connection that delivers positive, meaningful experiences - not just products. This new retail concept gives them that and then some.
